Miriam Schulman, host of the Inspiration Place podcast, breaks down the five core elements in the “Passion to Profit” planning framework to help you develop your art business—so that you can have the time and freedom to do what you love:

PROSPECTING: Build an audience of followers who want what you've got and are prepared to pay top dollar。
PRODUCTION: Draw attention to your creations by embracing your authenticity。
PRODUCTIVITY: Create work-life balance by managing your priorities and setting manageable goals。
PROMOTION: Attract collectors in an authentic and non-salesy way。
PRICING: Price your art, products, or services based on cutting edge research that explains buyer psychology。
After twenty years of selling art as well as coaching other artists, Miriam knows that now is the time to leave the rat race and pursue your highest dreams。 Don’t wait for a sign from the universe to gamble on yourself。

This is the best book for growing your art business。 Miriam walks you through all of the steps to being successful! I have learned so much from this book and I know I will be using this as business guide for growing my business。 Also each chapter has a call to action to help you break down what you need to do。 I think is one of the best books for artists and creatives because it gives you the tools to help with positive mindset, growth, and overcoming challenges。

I've only read about 20% but I love it so far! I'm slow at reading because of lack of time, otherwise, I would have read it at once! I appreciate the practical and down-to-earth advice, and the relatable path of Miriam (although coming from a different background you can easily identify the same "obstacles" in your own artistic journey)。 Some books have a lot of fluff and the main ideas can be compacted in a one-page PDF。 Not this one!- Weriem I've only read about 20% but I love it so far! Artpreneur: The Step-by-Step Guide to Making a Sustainable Living from Your Creativity Smart。 Practical。 Uncommon and Very Needed。 I'm getting smarter about marketing my services because of her savvy, easy-to-apply advice。 From setting up a separate bank account at a bank that's not our household bank, for my business to explaining my business to neighbors and friends, every step I've applied has boosted my business, my confidence and my capabilities。 The book goes much deeper than the author's Artpreneur: The Step-by-Step Guide to Making a Sustainable Living from Your Creativity Smart。 Practical。 Uncommon and Very Needed。 I'm getting smarter about marketing my services because of her savvy, easy-to-apply advice。 From setting up a separate bank account at a bank that's not our household bank, for my business to explaining my business to neighbors and friends, every step I've applied has boosted my business, my confidence and my capabilities。 The book goes much deeper than the author's podcast, The Inspiration Place, which I listen to regularly。 The author's Wall Street background and her rich knowledge of art history, curation, art shows, and as a painter herself makes her the preeminent and unique mentor for creatives。 。。。more

The myth of the starving artist-genius is dying a slow death, but "Artpreneur" gets it several steps closer to the grave。 This is a comprehensive plan any artist can use to make a great living from their art。 Even more, however, this book frees artists to expressive their creativity in the ways most authentic to them, even if (or perhaps especially if) it means they'll be the weirdo in the room。 With a combination of practical steps to take towards profitability and new ways to think about art a The myth of the starving artist-genius is dying a slow death, but "Artpreneur" gets it several steps closer to the grave。 This is a comprehensive plan any artist can use to make a great living from their art。 Even more, however, this book frees artists to expressive their creativity in the ways most authentic to them, even if (or perhaps especially if) it means they'll be the weirdo in the room。 With a combination of practical steps to take towards profitability and new ways to think about art and commerce, this feels like the permission slip so many artists need to admit they want to earn more and finally start doing it。 。。。more

Miriam has a knack for demystifying sales psychology and chipping away at the most prevalent and damaging stories affecting artists。 Her left-brained approach, explained in a way that creatives understand, allows artists to finally do what they love and also get paid for it。 It doesn't hurt that Miriam is also a gifted storyteller。 If you're an artist, you need this book。 Miriam has a knack for demystifying sales psychology and chipping away at the most prevalent and damaging stories affecting artists。 Her left-brained approach, explained in a way that creatives understand, allows artists to finally do what they love and also get paid for it。 It doesn't hurt that Miriam is also a gifted storyteller。 If you're an artist, you need this book。 。。。more
